Charging For Meals Returns For The 2022-23 School Year

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress authorized spending that allowed schools to serve free meals for all students. Those funds were not authorized to continue for the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, Judson ISD must return to charging for school meals and offering free and reduced-price meals based on student eligibility. Judson ISD will distribute letters and applications to the households of the children in the district about eligibility benefits. Families are encouraged to complete the Application for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals, also available at https://judson.nlappscloud.com and submit the completed form online or to any school office.

**NOTE: IF YOUR STUDENT ATTENDS A COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP) CAMPUS IN JISD, A FREE/REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATION IS NOT NEEDED. CONTACT YOUR CAMPUS TO VERIFY ITS CEP STATUS OR CLICK HERE.

    Farm Fresh Challenge Recognition

The Texas Department of Agriculture has recognized Judson ISD Child Nutrition for successfully meeting the Farm Fresh Challenge at a high level to Eat Local, Teach Local, and Be Social. This effort not only brings the freshest possible foods to our students, but it also educates and exposes them to a variety of new foods while supporting local farmers and ranchers who provide quality product for our kitchens. A win-win we're proud of at Judson ISD!
