Ms. Aimee Dunham and Jacquelyn Jones

Ms. Aimee Dunham is the Physical Education teacher here at Candlewood Elementary.  This is her 8th year as an Eagle and her 20th year of teaching P.E.  Growing up she played all kinds of sports and she especially loved basketball, soccer, and softball.  She started her career off at the middle school level for 2 years and then went on to the high school level for 4 years.  She also coached girls' soccer, volleyball, and track and field at both levels.  She was born in Greenville, Texas but has lived all over the state.  Mainly in the Austin and San Antonio area for the last 20 years.  She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and has her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She absolutely loves teaching kiddos the importance of movement and playing games.  It brings such joy to see their happy faces when they are having fun and learning new skills.  Outside of school, she loves being outdoors and spending time with her family.  She has two boys, a 4 and 12-year-old that keep her super busy, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.  When she does have free time she likes to be creative with crafts, cook and bake.

Ms. Jacquelyn Jones is the Physical Education aide at Candlewood Elementary.  This is her 14th year with the district and she loves having fun with the kids in P.E.  She is from Luling, Texas, and graduated from Wheatley High School in 1984.  Ms. Jones has one son, James, and a 16-year-old granddaughter named Janeese.  They are her world.  In her free time, she is a volleyball referee and enjoys being outside taking care of her lawn and others.
