Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Tiner

Welcome! My name is Jessica Tiner. This will be my 12th year teaching (10th year at RME). I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in psychology and history. Go Roadrunners! I am currently working on my Master's degree in curriculum and instruction at WGU - I'm hoping to complete my program in October/November. My certifications are in Early Childhood through sixth grade, all subjects, as well as ESL and Gift and Talented. Prior to teaching in the classroom, I worked as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center tutoring all ages in math, reading and writing. My teaching career began in Luling ISD teaching 2nd grade math/science only. I was then moved to 4th grade math only in Luling ISD for a year before coming to Rolling Meadows Elementary. I taught fourth grade at RME for 7 years, RTI for 2 years and now I'm venturing into the world of 5th grade!

I was born in San Antonio, raised in Schertz, and graduated HS from Clemens HS. My husband and I have 2 daughters, Kylie (8 years) and Adalyn (4 years) who both attend RME this year. I also have a step-son, Stephen (12 years) who attends Kitty Hawk MS. We have two big and loveable dogs - Rocky and Toby, both 9 years old, and two cats - Mia (2 years) and Hank (5 months). We love watching movies together, visiting local ice cream shops, and playing at theme parks.

I enjoy working with children and watching them grow throughout the year. It is an amazing experience to see the "light bulbs" throughout the year. I have high expectations for all of my students, just as I do for my own children at home. I look forward to working with my students to reach their full potential. The 2023-2024 school year is full of so many possibilities!
