I can’t wait to meet all my students and inspire these new thespians to collaboratively build a kinder, more thoughtful community with the empowering tools of creativity, imagination, and empathy.  

Theatre has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My mother likes to tell me that I was born a Drama Queen. I grew up in El Paso, Texas (#915_Strong) participating in school plays and summer musical productions before graduating from Franklin High School.  I pursued my passion for the dramatic arts by studying Musical Theatre at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque for several years before I returned home to El Paso for family reasons. I decided to complete my degree in English online at Ashford University.  

After working hard to obtain my teacher certification, I began my teaching career in El Paso at Hernando Middle School where I taught Theatre Arts.  I accepted a position at El Dorado High School where I happily directed before an opportunity arose to teach Theatre in San Antonio.  

Although I miss my wonderful hometown, I’m thrilled to find that the community here in San Antonio is just as warm and generous of spirit.  I can’t wait to share the journey of discovery with my students!
