I am a native of the San Antonio area, I grew up about 30 miles north in Boerne, TX and graduated in 2002 from Boerne High School.  I attended The University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated (2012) with my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in English Language Arts and Reading as well as Social Studies.

I began teaching 6th grade Reading at Woodlake Hills Middle School eight years ago and have remained here ever since.  I love the relationships I build with my students and enjoy seeing them succeed in education as well as in life. It is important for me to build a mutual respect between myself, my students and their parents.  

I enjoy working with the students and interacting with the community in which I live and teach.  During my time at Woodlake Hills I have been the 6th grade team lead, UIL Coordinator and coach and the ELAR department head.  I love spending time with my husband and daughters, whether we are splashing at the river or watching a movie at home.
