Ms. Sarah Nielsen

Hello ECSE students, parents, and guardians,

My name is Sarah Nielsen and I am honored to be your teacher.  I am looking forward to an AMAZING 2022-2023 school year.  This will be my 7th year as an ECSE/PPCD teacher.  Prior to that, I taught in specialized self-contained behavior classrooms for 5 years.

I graduated from UTSA with a M.A. in Counseling in 2009 and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2007.  While I am certified to teach in a general education classroom, special education stole my heart.

Every year holds its celebrations and challenges for students, but through it all they grow, learn, and become more independent.  It is exciting to facilitate these things and be a part of their journey.
