Mrs. Jenine Whitehawk

A little bit about me:

I began teaching in 1999 at United South High School in Laredo, TX. In the 20+ years that I have been involved in Education, I have taught ELAR, English Literature,  College Prep, Communication Applications, ESL Speech, Photography, Journalism, and Theater Arts. I was the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for a local school district and have taught students from sixth grade through University levels. I have been active as UIL coordinator, STALL coordinator, TFA, LD debate, Prose and Poetry, and Informative and Persuasive Speaking coach.  I am also the sponsor of the THEATER SOCIETY, an after school club that is open to any student interested in theater. Auditions for shows are open to any Metzger student that is passing all their classes even if they have not taken Theatre Arts.

I have worked professionally as an actor, playwright, and stage technician as well as a director, box office manager, costumer, and make up artist. I have taught workshops for hair and make up design and application.

I look forward to working with new students along side the wonderful group that has been involved in previous years.
