Welcome to 1st Grade!

I am honored to be your child's teacher this year, and am looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventures.  I can't wait to learn all about your children, but first let me tell you a little bit about myself.  

Growing up, I moved around quite often, as I was a military child.  It was while my family was stationed in Germany, at the young age of 6, that I realized my passion in life was to work with children.  My mom had an in-home daycare and I took joy in helping her with the children in her care. 

I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors in Science with a certification in EC-4 Generalist.  Upon graduating, I substituted in Marion, SCUC, and San Antonio ISD's until I was hired with Family Service Association for the 2009 school year, where I taught Pre-K for 9 years.  I was hired onto Judson ISD for the 2018-2019 school year here at Escondido Elementary, teaching 2nd grade.  Over the next four years I taught 3 years of PreK 4 and 1 year in PreK 3. This year will be my 6th year at Escondido and my 15th year teaching. 

I have two sons, a daughter-n-law and a granddaughter Jaylon(21), Starr(21)  Blake(13)and Londyn (2) .  I have 2 dogs (Jaxon and Zhora), and a cat (Alani).  I enjoy crafting in my spare time. 

This is going to be a spectacular school year!
