Hello! My name is Hannah Thornblom, and I am excited for the upcoming school year at Veterans Memorial High School! In this next year, I am looking forward to getting to know my students and use this knowledge to keep them engaged in my class.

I attended Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio and graduated in 2010. I then attended the University of Texas in San Antonio and received my degree in May 2014. After my student teaching at Smithson Valley High School, I worked as a substitute for Comal ISD for 1 year. I received my first teaching position as a Communication Applications teacher for Northside ISD, and went on to teach English 1, English 2, and Film Studies. I use my knowledge in both English and Communications to create a classroom that enhances the reading, writing, and social communication skills of my students. This is my fourth year teaching and my first year at Veterans Memorial High School. 

I believe that all students have the capacity to learn, and I want to instill the passion for knowledge in my students. I strive for positivity in my classroom and promote self-growth in my lessons by establishing strong rapport with all of my students.
