Hello 5th Grade Families!

My name is Mr. Layton and I am ready to run it back with our amazing group of 5th graders! Here's a little bit about me:

- I have been teaching at Converse Elementary since the beginning of the 2020 school year.

- I will be your child's Reading, Writing, and Social Studies teacher.

- Before I taught at Converse, I taught 4th grade in New Orleans for 2 years and was a para in Colorado.

- Outside of school, sports are MY LIFE! Basketball is my favorite, with the Indiana Pacers being my favorite team and Giannis Antetokounmpo being my favorite player. Cover your ears when I sing, because I love listening to all kinds of music. I also enjoy hanging out watching anime with my wife and running a part time zoo (not really) with our 5 animals!

I look forward to keeping in close contact with each of you regarding your child's academic and social progress.
