This is my second year teaching music at Escondido Elementary School. Before teaching here, I taught private flute lessons to students in the San Antonio area and worked at Community Bible Day School. I received my Bachelor of Music Education from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi in 2011 and my Master of Music in Flute Performance and Pedagogue from Louisiana State University in 2013. 

I have the INCREDIBLE opportunity to promote music appreciation and performance to every single scholar on our campus from PreK3 - 5th grade. Students are able to participate in a grade-level performance every year in addition to membership in Music Club, Music Memory Team, and Honor Choir. All of these clubs/events occur at different times throughout the year; information will be sent via Class DOJO and/or handout. 

When I am not teaching the distinguished Lions of Escondido, I enjoy spending time with my family and making music at my church. I married my husband, Julio, in 2012 and we have two wonderful children, Adrian and Camila. My favorites are hiking, kayaking, biking, live music, horseback riding, and movie nights- there is NO such thing as TOO much candy and popcorn!
