Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Steve Garza III

Hello and welcome to Geometry Class!  I am very excited about teaching Geometry and Honors Geometry this year at Veterans Memorial High School.

A little about myself:

I am a graduate of Madison High School.  I am also a proud graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where I received my Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management Science.  Birds Up!

I have two daughters that went to Salinas Elementary, JSTEM at Judson Middle Schoool, and TSTEM at Wagner High School.  They are both currently attending the University of Texas in Austin.  Hook'em!  Alongside my amazing wife, we have watched our daughters grow up in the Judson ISD.  This allowed me to see the true care the district employees, administrators, and teachers have for their students.  With the strong encouragement of my family, we decided it was time to give back, so I signed on to become a teacher here with the Judson ISD.

I firmly believe that anyone can learn math.  At a young age, my grandmother spent her summers making sure I did more than just succeed in math.  She made sure I loved it and made me want to solve problems.  She instilled in me that through practice, repetition, and thinking about why things worked the way they did, that I would be able to learn anything.  I am looking forward to all the questions you will be asking this semester as you continue down your educational path.  Your questions will be much more valuable than any I will ask.
