VMHS Football is Built Ford Tough

The Veterans Memorial High School Football Team was honored to welcome Jordan Ford to Patriot Nation to present the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week to senior quarterback Alex Alva. Alex earned this award collectively with his teammates in the Patriots' week 9 district victory over the Canyon Cougars, ultimately resulting in the Patriots qualifying for the postseason. Alex performed spectacularly and produced 500 total yards, and accounted for 6 TD on the evening.

The Built Ford Tough Award is unique because it is presented to only one student-athlete in each classification throughout the state of Texas per week. Alex was joined by his family, teammates, and coaches in accepting his award. Alex is an outstanding student-athlete who excels both on the field and in the classroom, as demonstrated with this award and his near 4.0 GPA. We are proud of Alex and all of our Patriots at Veterans Memorial High School, and we look forward to seeing them continue to "Earn Every Thing Every Day….Together
